Handphone-handphone Buatan China Masuk Pasar Indonesia

Belakangan ini tentu sudah tidak heran lagi kalau kita melihat orang memakai handphone bermerk Hi-Tech atau K-Touch. Atau, jika toko-toko handphone, bahkan hypermarket, menjual handphone bermerk D-One, Nexian, Taxco, dan lain-lain, yang mungkin masih merupakan merk “asing” setahun atau dua tahun yang lalu.

Ya, terutama sejak setahun belakangan ini pasar handphone Indonesia sepertinya “diserbu” oleh merk-merk baru buatan China.

Secara umum, paling tidak ada 4 jenis cara pemasaran handphone-handphone buatan China ini.

Jenis pertama adalah handphone yang dirakit di Indonesia dengan spare part dari China. Pada jenis pertama ini baru merk Nexian yang melakukannya.

Yang kedua adalah dengan memberi “brand” tertentu yang dibuat oleh perusahaan lokal. Benar, brand tersebut adalah asli brand dari Indonesia. Tetapi barang yang dipasarkan adalah 100% buatan China. Distributor lokal di Indonesia hanya menjadi pemegang merk tersebut. Merk-merk pada jenis ini misalnya HiTech, K-Touch, dan Startech.

Jenis ketiga adalah brand asli dari China yang dipasarkan secara resmi oleh distributor lokal. Pada jenis ini terdapat merk-merk seperti ZTE atau Huawei.

Dan terakhir, atau keempat, adalah merk-merk asli China yang masuk ke Indonesia sebagai Black Market, artinya tanpa ada garansi dari distributor lokal. Merk-merk pada kategori ini misalnya CECT dan banyak sekali merk-merk lain yang biasanya merupakan tiruan atau hampir menyamai merk-merk terkenal seperti NCKIA atau NOKLA (dimirip-miripkan dengan NOKIA).

Ada beberapa ciri khas handphone-handphone China yang saat ini banyak beredar di Indonesia, yaitu :

1. Dual SIM Card

Banyak sekali handphone China yang mengutamakan fitur dual SIM Card, baik GSM-GSM maupun GSM-CDMA (saat ini belum ada yang CDMA-CDMA). Pada awalnya menggunakan sistem switch (salah satu aktif), tetapi akhir-akhir ini kebanyakan sudah menerapkan sistem Two-On, artinya bisa aktif keduanya.

2. Analog TV Phone

Tentu sudah tidak heran lagi jika di mana saja kita melihat ada orang yang menggunakan handphone berlayar lebar dengan antena yang menonjol keluar. Ya, handphone-handphone China itu memang banyak sekali yang mengunggulkan fitur analog TV : bisa nonton TV secara gratis tanpa memakan pulsa sama sekali, karena handphone-nya sudah dilengkapi dengan TV Tuner.

3. Touchscreen

Ciri khas lain dari handphone-handphone China adalah banyak yang fiturnya yang sudah memiliki kemampuan touchscreen. Tetapi jangan bayangkan bahwa handphone-handphone China tersebut sudah termasuk ke dalam kategori smartphone atau PDA Phone seperti kebanyakan handphone touchscreen dari merk-merk ternama. Hampir semua handphone China bersistem operasi sama, yaitu OS native yang (mungkin) berbasiskan Java. Hal ini bisa dilihat dari user interfacenya yang hampir mirip satu sama lain. Sistem operasinya ini tidak memungkin untuk di-install aplikasi dari pihak ketiga. Bahkan dukungan aplikasi Java pun sangat terbatas.

4. Design Meniru Merk Ternama

Sudah bukan rahasia lagi bahwa banyak sekali produk China yang meniru produk lain dari merk terkenal. Demikian juga handphone China. Mudah sekali untuk mendapatkan handphone China (dengan merk bermacam-macam) yang desainnya mirip dengan Nokia N95 atau Nokia N82 misalnya. Bukan hanya desain, bahkan merk pun ditiru. Muncullah merk-merk semacam NOKLA atau NCKIA yang mirip NOKIA, atau Suny Ericssom yang dimiripkan dengan Sony Ericsson. Lebih parah lagi, akhir-akhir ini bahkan beredar pula tiruan yang sama persis secara fisik baik dari merk, type maupun desain, tetapi baru akan ketahuan palsu jika kita menyalakan handphone tersebut karena isi atau fiturnya jauh berbeda. Tak tanggung-tanggung, yang dipalsukan adalah merk dan type dari handphone kelas atas seperti Nokia N95, Nokia N82, bahkan Nokia 8800 Luna yang merupakan handphone kelas premium dari Nokia.
